GatherContent prices now go through Bynder, and Bynder does not publish them

What happened to GatherContent

If you are looking up GatherContent prices, here is the short answer. GatherContent no longer publishes its own prices. Bynder acquired the company in 2022, and by the end of 2023 the product had been renamed Content Workflow by Bynder. It is still sold as part of the Bynder platform, without a standalone price you can look up first. A sales conversation comes first, and the price comes after it.

Bynder acquired GatherContent on March 3, 2022. GatherContent CEO Alice Deer moved to Bynder to lead content operations strategy. On November 15, 2023, the product was renamed Content Workflow by Bynder, and existing customers were given a specific promise: "Existing GatherContent customers can rest assured that there are no changes to the product, existing pricing, integrations, or the customer support process as they know it."

That promise has limits. It covers only people who were already paying when the product was renamed. Even among them, some GatherContent customers who later moved to EasyContent told us they were shifted onto more expensive tiers after the rename. It is unclear when that started, or how many accounts it reached. The announcement itself says nothing about what a new customer signing up today would be offered, and that is the real question behind this search.

Bynder is not independent either. In December 2022, Thomas H. Lee Partners announced it had taken a majority stake in Bynder, buying out Insight Partners' share.

What GatherContent costs today, under the name Content Workflow

It is not published. Bynder's site has no Content Workflow pricing page, and no starting price you can see without talking to a salesperson.

In its own announcement, Bynder describes Content Workflow as available on its own, for customers on another tech stack, and not only bundled with the rest of the Bynder platform. In practice, expect the sales conversation to drift toward a larger package. Bynder is a large platform built around DAM and priced for large customers, and a "standalone" offer from a vendor of that size rarely stays narrow once the call is real. For scale, and not as a price for Content Workflow itself: one analysis of real Bynder platform contracts put the average contract for SMB customers at about $33,663 a year, and for large enterprise customers at about $124,668 a year. That price covers the whole Bynder platform, DAM included. Read it as a picture of what "enterprise, quote only" usually means, and as a number you should not expect to be quoted for Content Workflow on its own.

If GatherContent's prices mattered because they used to be a figure you could see and put in a budget, that figure is gone. It is not waiting on another page of the site.

What GatherContent used to cost

Before the acquisition, GatherContent published its own prices. A March 2022 capture of the pricing page shows three tiers. Each one included an unlimited number of users.

GatherContent pricing in March 2022: Starter at $299 per month, Advanced at $799 per month, and Custom
GatherContent's pricing page in March 2022, on annual billing. Starter was $299/month and Advanced was $799/month. Custom had no published price.

Starter was $299/month: 10 projects, 10 components, advanced workflow and permissions, 1 year of revision history, and basic shareable links. Advanced was $799/month: 30 projects, 30 components, advanced workflow and permissions, unlimited revision history, advanced shareable links, project archiving, and single sign-on. Bynder DAM integration was listed on Advanced and Custom as coming soon. Custom had no published price. It offered custom project and component limits, plus enhanced support hours, a customer success manager, a quarterly business review, integration setup, and dedicated onboarding.

GatherContent had already removed the cheaper plan before the acquisition. An earlier archive, from around mid-2021 and also on annual billing, still starts at $99/month, with unlimited users: Start at $99/month (3 projects, basic workflow and permissions, 30 days of revision history), Scale at $299/month (15 projects, advanced workflow and permissions, 1 year of revision history), and Transform at $799/month (60 projects, advanced workflow and permissions, unlimited revision history). Larger tiers above Transform were noted, without a price. By the March 2022 page that $99 Start plan was gone, and the lowest published price was Starter at $299/month.

One correction is worth stating on its own. A third-party directory, Capterra, lists $99 as a per-user price. GatherContent's own mid-2021 page shows that $99 as a flat monthly price with unlimited users. By March 2022 even that flat $99 plan had been removed.

What an acquisition by a larger platform usually means for renewal

GatherContent's story is the pattern in this category. DivvyHQ went the same way when Lytho bought it: a published price turned into a sales conversation, and the old pricing page now points at a Lytho page that does not mention DivvyHQ by name. Narrato ended harder. The product was shut down on June 15, 2026, with nothing left running in its place. When a content tool in this category gets large enough to be worth buying, a sales conversation in place of a price list is the norm.

EasyContent prices are in the open

EasyContent does the job GatherContent was built for: structured website content, assembled page by page, moving in sequence through named approvers before it reaches the CMS. Every price is published on the pricing page today.

Plans start at $47 a month billed annually ($59 month to month). From Team up, every plan includes an unlimited number of users, so a growing team does not open a new negotiation. A free 14-day trial with no credit card means you can see the product before any sales conversation. Structured templates with custom fields, Word-style change tracking with accept and reject on each edit, a sitemap-style hierarchy that mirrors the real site, and shareable review links for an unlimited number of external guests all come standard. Real-time collaborative editing, so two people can work on the same page at the same time, is included on every plan. EasyAI sits on top of that, with permissions controlled by account, project, and user, so an AI-generated draft goes through review the same way a person's draft does.

Moving years of structured content out of GatherContent takes real time, whichever tool receives it. EasyContent's built-in migration tool accepts a CSV export straight from GatherContent, and standard email support is available on every plan.

Frequently asked questions
Does GatherContent still exist?

Yes, under another name. The product is sold today as Content Workflow by Bynder, part of the Bynder platform, after a rename that took effect on November 15, 2023. Bynder describes it as available on its own, but expect the sale to be built around the whole Bynder platform rather than a narrow, low-priced add-on.

How much does GatherContent or Content Workflow by Bynder cost?

Bynder does not publish a price for this product. To find out the cost, you have to contact sales. For scale: real Bynder platform contracts have been estimated at an average of tens of thousands of dollars a year for SMB customers and more than $100,000 a year for enterprise customers. That is the price of the whole Bynder platform, not of Content Workflow specifically.

Can you keep your old GatherContent price?

Bynder's November 2023 announcement said nothing would change for existing customers: not the price, the product, the integrations, or support. Some customers who later moved to EasyContent told us that in practice this was not fully kept, and that at some point after the rename they were moved onto more expensive tiers, though the exact timing is unclear. Either way, the promise never covered new customers.

What is a good alternative with published prices?

EasyContent does the same core job (structured content, staged approval, sitemap-style organization) and publishes every price on its site: plans from $47/month billed annually, unlimited users from Team up, and a 14-day trial with no credit card.
